Possessive Pronouns    
Wanna be able to say mine!  Learn these important pronouns and begin to build real sentences.  you'll be able to say..."lets take my car"  or "I lost my shoe!" or "can I listen to your ipod? 
Just like in English, you dont say  "Lets take me car" or, "can i use you ipod?"   Fijian has its own Your and Mine.
Write these down in your journal, your going to need them handy as we start to build sentences using all the pronouns we learn.  Check out the audio at the bottom for more help with pronunciation.

Nomu           Your
Nona            His/Her

Nodaru        The two of ours
Neirau          The two of ours (excluding the listener)
Nomudrau    the two of yours
Nodrau         the two of theirs


Nodatou         the three of ours
Neitou            the three of ours (excluding listener)
Nomudou       the three of yours
Nodratou        The three of theirs

  Pronouns
The first step in learning a language is learning how to address your self and others.  Even cavemen use pronouns! "me want women!"  there are lots of different pronouns.  Lets start with the most used!       
                        
 Fijian                              English
Oiau      -au -                  me or I                                      Oiau via moce.       (I want to sleep)
Oiko      -iko-                   you                                            Oiko via kana?        (Do you want to eat?)
Okoya   -koya-                him or her                                Okoya sa lako.        (He left already)

2Persons Pronouns

kedaru                           the two of us inclusive              Daru lako!                  (lets go) two people 
Keirau                            the two of us exclusive             Keirau sa Lako.                (we are going) telling                                                                                                                                        someone not included that                                                                                                                                  you and another person are                                                                                                                                going.
Kemudrau                     the two of you                           Drau sa lako?               (you two are going?)
Orau                               the two them exclusive            Rau sa lako!             (those two have gone!)

3+ People

Kedatou   (Tou)-             us inclusive                               Tou Lako!                (lets go!) three or more people
Keitou                             three of us exclusive                Keitou sa Liu          ("we are taking the lead") 3 or                                                                                                                                more people.
